Mission of the Month
Each month, St Mary's focuses on a particular good cause.
A charities sub-group (PCC and others) meets twice a year to consider nominations from members of the congregation or anyone else for Missions of the Month.
Each selected Mission of the Month will receive £250 from church funds. Additionally the person nominating the cause will be invited to make a brief address to the congregation on the first Sunday of the appropriate month. This address is usually printed in the magazine and displayed through a link on our calendar page
Contributions can be made by placing an envelope with "Mission of the Month" written on the outside in the collection or by cheque made out to "Iffley PCC" with the name of the appropriate cause on the reverse. If the donor pays income-tax, use of the envelopes (in the church pews) means that tax can be reclaimed to increase the donation.
