The Friends of St Mary's, Iffley
Would you like to be a Friend of St Mary's, and become part of a body of
people who have a special affection for this historic church, built around 1170?
The Friends of St Mary's was founded on 15th September 2001.
Its main purpose is to help maintain this famous Norman church. At the same time, it provides
opportunities to learn more about the building, with an annual lecture and publication.
There are also occasional outings and gatherings.
Friends are invited to pay an annual subscription of £12
(£18 for joint membership). This is a guide figure, not a 'fixed price'. Some will choose to pay more. In either case, we would like to have you as a Friend. In return,
Friends receive a copy of the Annual Report, with an invitation to the Annual Gathering
which includes a lecture and tea. The Committee organizes an annual outing and a number of
fund-raising events.
