Babies, children, teenagers and families at St Mary's Church
It is a policy of St Mary's not to show any photographs of children on its website.
Parish Communion
Babies and children are welcome to stay with their parents during
services. There’s a carpeted area at the back of the church with
toys and games, so you may like to sit near that.
Halfway between the churchyard gate and the church door, you’ll
find our Crèche. There are more toys and games there, comfortable
chairs, and a toilet.
It’s a good place to take babies and young children for a little while if they’re
getting restless in church.
Young St Mary's
Anyone who is three or over is also welcome to join one of the
Young St Mary’s Groups which meet in the Church Hall.
Teenagers have their own fortnightly group called St Mary's Youth. To find out more you can
email Lisa Hynes our Young St Mary's Co-ordinator.
Games
Each Sunday of the school term at 9.45 am, Young St Mary’s begins with games in
the Church Hall.
At 10 am, Young St Mary’s continues with a short and lively
time of worship. It includes singing, one or more simple prayers and
sometimes a short reading from the Bible.
After the worship, Young St Mary’s divides into different
age-groups, whose activities are led by volunteers from the congregation.
All the groups join the congregation in the church towards the
end of the service.
The Sunday School has a structured programme which can be viewed here

Social Responsibility
Young St Mary's often raises funds for good causes either independently or in conjunction with the rest of St Mary's.
The picture shows a cake stall run by YSM for Water Aid.
Term Dates
Young St Mary's Summer term runs from April 20th to July 20th inclusive.
There will be a break for half term on 25 May.
St Mary's Youth
Young people aged 13 to 18 meet every two weeks for their own programme of activities,
led by two couples from the congregation.
Orchestra
We have an excellent group of young musicians who play at our
All-Age Services. They are conducted by Liz Marshall.
